2021 Bruce Trail White - BRONZE MEDAL - 2022 National Wine Awards Canada

Bronze Medal Winner - 2022 National Wine Awards of Canada

The Bruce Trail is Canada's oldest and Longest marked hiking trail, running 895 km from Niagara Falls to Tobermory. We are fortunate to host a section f the Bruce Trail along the forested verge of Vieni Estates.

Tasting Notes
Pale straw with a fresh, aromatic nose of golden apple, rosemary, lychee, rose, and light pepper. Medium-bodied and fruity with a delicately sweet finish.

Vineyard Notes
After a warm and dry March, winter reemerged in April, freezing over the earth and vines. May was warm and spring quickly yielded to extreme heat and recurring heatwaves from June through the end of August. While September and October were warm, increased precipitation hastened the harvest. Thankfully, the extreme heat throughout the summer months gave this vintage the nourishment for the crafting of excellent wines, across varietals.

Winemaker's Notes

The quality of acidic varieties produced in Ontario, is outstanding. Our Bruce Trail is a remarkable blend of Chardonnay, Vidal, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Riesling & Pinot Grigio. Very versatile for pairing as well as enjoying on it's own.

We've recently attached the phrase "There's 895 km Behind These Wines"; we thought this to be a small testament to the incredible grandeur of the Bruce Trail and our position therein. We look to add a nuance of natural beauty to this wonder with this wine.
