NAMED TOP TEN WINERIES IN CANADA - 2022 NATIONAL WINE AWARDS OF CANADA
Our Dry Riesling is only produced in select years. We take great care and pleasure in presenting this rarely explored expression of such a hearty varietal.
Straw yellow, with greenish reflections, elegant, aromatic, fruity and floral with a pronounced note of dandelion and candy, light, dry, culminating in a fruity finish.
A frozen vineyard in April and below seasonal temperatures in May, naturally gave rise to concerns for the growing season ahead. Nature made up for lost time in June with exceptional weather bringing full bloom in a matter of days. The summer was hot and relatively dry and the extended growing season gave the fruit the time it needed to mature. The late summer diurnal variation was key to developing the sugars. The grapes used for this Riesling were harvested from two blocks.
Riesling is a star varietal in our cool climate. We have the pleasure of vinifying this into three distinct wines: a sparkling Riesling; a semi-dry Riesling; and this dry Riesling. We're selective with the vintages when presenting Riesling in this style and, 2019 presented us with all we needed. For those more familiar semi-dry/off-dry Rieslings, We invite you to experience another side of this varietal; we're confident it will be well recieved.
