Lend Me A Tenor

Set in September 1934. Saunders, the general manager of the Cleveland Grand Opera Company, is primed to welcome world-famous singer Tito Merelli, known as II Stupendo, the greatest tenor of his generation, to appear for one night only as the star of the opera. It's the biggest event in Cleveland Opera's history. A sellout crowd and the members of the Cleveland Opera Guild will be at the opera house that evening to see the great Merelli. Tito arrives late, and a hilarious series of mishaps follows that will leave audiences teary-eyed with laughter! Will the show go on? will the shrimp mayonnaise go off? Will Maggie get her "fling"? Who is the REAL Tito?

Theatre Bacchus is a professional theatre company in the heart of Niagara’s Wine Country. A few years ago, while visiting a lovely winery in the Niagara Benchlands on a cold day in February,  engaged in a discussion with the owners about the lamentable lack of tourists when the large theatre in Niagara-on-the-Lake closes down. She instantly saw an opportunity for theatre this other area of the Niagara Region and one that would not just run on in a festival season. And what better name for a theatre in wine country than Theatre Bacchus, named after the Roman god of wine and theatre!Ultimately, Theatre Bacchus will make its permanent home in the Town of Lincoln and will strive to be the greenest theatre in Southern Ontario in its building and operations.
